Blogmas 2017 holiday

My Christmas Wishlist for 2017!

The older I get, the simpler (and shorter) my Christmas Wish List seems to be! Please note that all of these things would just be nice to have, I’m not actually expecting these gifts at all! If anything I would buy them myself, haha. What I’m most looking forward to is some time off of work. So, without further ado, here is what I’m asking Santa for this Christmas!

  1. My favorite TV Show!

I have a bit of a strange tradition. I purposefully don’t celebrate New Years. I know it’s a bit strange, but there’s something about New Year’s Eve that makes me slightly anxious. Perhaps it’s everyone’s extreme expectations to have fun? So for the past few years, I’ve been requesting movies or TV shows as Christmas gifts. On New Year’s Eve, I order a pizza and kick back with a good show (or movie) and bask in my hermit bliss.

This year, I really want When Calls the Heart Season 4! I watched the first three seasons on Netflix, only to discover the latest season wouldn’t be on until 2018. Boo!

  1. A Good Book

Am I the only one who tends to read more during the winter? I’m always cozied up at home, so having good books to read throughout the winter is a must for me. I have a couple of Marie Lu books on my list, like Warcross and The Midnight Star!

  1. A Crock-Pot

This is probably the most adult thing I’m asking for this year. I was actually gifted a really small single serving crock pot and I love it, but I do want a crock-pot that’s a little bigger so I can cook in bulk and save for later.

  1. Record Player

This is one the things I’ve been wanting since I moved out but haven’t been able to buy. It kills me to see all the records I can’t buy…yet.

  1. Amazon Prime Membership

This is just one of those things that although not necessary, it’s extremely helpful. Amazon’s Free 2-Day Shipping makes holiday shopping (and regular shopping!) a breeze. I’m also obsessed with their original shows. Have you guys watched Man in the High Castle? Because if not, you need it in your life! For those of you who haven’t tried it yet, here is a free trial.

  1. A Telescope

When I was a little girl, I was obsessed with the stars. I used to sit on my porch for hours staring at the sky on clear nights. I loved the stars so much I actually wanted to be an Aerospace Engineer. I wanted to send people to the moon! My engineering dreams didn’t happen, but my love for the stars in still there. Now that I have a little more space to house a telescope, I’m dying to get my hands on a good one.
